Breadalbane and Glen Lyon
Single Day Tour

Breadalbane (from the Gaelic meaning "High Country of Scotland") is dominated by mighty Ben Lawers where rare alpine plants survive from Europe's last ice age.

We travel north by way of Strathyre and Glen Ogle to Killin, from where a high single track road takes us over to Glen Lyon. Here we can see what is believed to be the oldest living thing in Europe - a 3000 year old yew tree, and the alleged birthplace of Pontius Pilate at Fortingall.

A stroll in the Birks O' Aberfeldy, a delightful wooded glen which inspired Robert Burns to verse can be enjoyed before turning south to Crieff and Scotland's oldest distillery at Glenturret. Possibly an ideal last stop before heading home!
